Jedward sign new record deal with Universal

Quote:
Jedward bounced back from its brief stumble in the recording industry.

Almost as soon as it was dropped by Sony, the duo of John and Edward Grimes signed another record deal, the UK Sun reports.

Universal has swooped to pick up the sharply quiffed Irish lads before the dust had even settled on their adorable signature jackets. The label, rival to Sony, is home for Cheryl Cole and Lady Gaga, ensuring Jedward has found a good place to land.

A source at Universal said: 'Execs still see pound signs next to Jedward. Kids love the novelty stuff and money is there to be made.'

Jedward, bolstered by their new manager Louis Walsh, are currently on the X Factor tour in Belfast. Walsh earlier predicted they would become millionaires following their wildly popular run on the X Factor.

Jedward was dropped by Sony when its debut single Under Pressure, recorded with Vanilla Ice, failed to make it to the Number One spot on the UK charts.
